About COZIER
Isaac Thando Cozier, more popularly known as “Cozier”, is a multifaceted artiste from Port of Spain, Trinidad. He has a holistic involvement in music and performing arts but is also no stranger to other forms of media such as film, fashion and visual arts.
His first musical instrument was the guitar, which he began to learn at the age of eleven. At age fifteen, he formed his first band in secondary school named “Juice” which led to an interest in songwriting and music production.
His early production work was first under the mentorship of Anson Pro. There, he got opportunities to produce and play guitar for some popular soca songs.
In 2017 he recorded a soca with a Secondary school friend in his homemade bedroom studio that went on to win junior soca monarch.
Over the next few years he produced countless records with local aspiring artistes as well as directed music videos and played in various bands.
In 2019, nineteen year old Cozier, had his first breakthrough with his original production, “Area Code Riddim”. This release firmly cemented Cozier as the pioneer of Trinibad; a contemporary urban genre that has made waves worldwide since its genesis.
"Neverland"(2022), mixed and mastered by Zab Spencer, was Cozier’s first album as an artist in his own right. Two years in the making, the album reflected the period of turbulence, trauma and isolation that accompanied the birth and development of Trinibad. Similarly with his following release "Rest In Pieces" (2023), Cozier the artist and multi-instrumentalist, continues to reinvent himself into a sophisticated musical innovator, composing, recording, engineering, singing and playing the majority of the instruments featured on both albums himself.
In recent times, Cozier, has been working on his second studio album alongside his band “Midnight Robber” with legendary producer Ken Holder. (name and release date of album TBA)
Additionally, Cozier has been heavily involved in the production, writing and filming of the music videos for his recent singles. He also collaborated with internationally acclaimed, Trinidadian artists, film director Maya Cozier and fashion designer Joshua Joseph, for his music video, “LIFE GOOD”.
At the start of 2025, Cozier became the musical director of his own band, “Midnight Robber” with musicians Kezia Williams on bass, Denzel Johnson on drums as well as Kerahlyn Cozier and Je’nique Cunin on vocals.
Midnight Robber performed their first live show in Cozier’s hometown, St Ann’s on February 23rd, 2025. Since then, the band has gone on to do more live performances including their recent show “ROOTSYARDD” which took place on June 2nd, 2025. As mentioned before, Midnight Robber is currently recording with Cozier, in preparation for the new album underway. Most of the works have an emphasis on positive lyrics and the reimagining of Trinidad folk and roots music.
